You know, I actually feel very lucky because I'm always accompanied by close relatives and friends whenever we score invites to events as such. :)

Malaysia's traffics are a real punchbag, as expected because we left home at 6.00pm.. (sendiri gali lubang masuk tanam sendiri) So obviously the sky feels us because it starts pouring cats and dogs after that. I heard that traffic's worse in Singapore isn't it? *sighs*

Finally, we arrived at 7.30pm Yayy! *tears of joy* :")

On the table itself, we're able to have a first look beforehand on what Jasmine will be working her beauty tricks with later. Time to go do some treasure hunting!

Meet and greet session with Jasmine Tam :) She's so pretty, friendly and greeted us one by one with a nice firm handshake and a beautiful smile.

Starting out with introduction to three types of liners commonly used by Malaysian ladies: The pencil liner, the liquid liner and the pot liner.

Here, she explains the good and bad of each types of liner.
The pencil liner
- Good tool for beginners because you will have a better control on where you're drawing and easy to wipe off.
- Comes off easily and reapplication is usually necessary.
The liquid liner
- Comes in waterproof and non waterproof
- Sleek brush, easy to apply on after you've mastered the pencil liner.
- Smudges easily the moment you blink right after application.
- Shining/ glossy effect
The pot liner (Jasmine's personal pick)
-Comes in a small glass pot and you will need to bring an additional brush along for application
-Great to use, matte and lasts long.
-The only downfall is that it's quite heavy and not travel friendly.

but of course, her now all time favorite would definitely be the Benefit they're Real push-up liner!

After the demo, there was a Q&A session. Many raise their concerns on having a single eyelid, unbalance eye lids (one big one small) and how to draw a balance eye liners. I totally feel them because my photoshoot (will post it up soon) stylist told me that although I have double eyelids but they're unbalanced and same goes to my eyebrows (gosh).

So Jasmine gave some real good advices:
If you have a single eyelid, draw your eyeliners thin and slightly thicker but not too thick.
If you have an unbalance eyelids, draw thin eyeliner for small eyelid and thicker eyeliner for thicker eyelid.
If you have small eyes, draw a thin line and vice versa! :D

After the demo, we also get  to try out the Benefit push-up liner by other professional Benefit sylist! SWEET!

Can you see the difference? For comparison purposes, she only drew liner on my left eye. :)

How to apply

For first-time use
To prep the pen, remove the AccuFlex™ tip protector & discard. Twist base until gel appears on tip. Wipe off excess.

For daily use
Wipe leftover gel off AccuFlex™ tip before each use to get fresh liner every time. Slowly twist base until a tiny amount of gel appears on tip. Rest the tip on the base of your lashes and guide along your lashline from either the inner or outer corner. The angled AccuFlex™ tip works both ways

~ Thoughts of the Day 19 ~

When all things fail and I'm lost in hope,
When I need something to cling on but there's nothing for me to reach within my grasp,
The coward me would close my eyes and shut down all the noises going through my head and start listening to what my heart tells me to. 

At that brief moment, I see happiness. Although it may be just seconds but it's all I need.. To be alone and heal the wound inside me with my inner voice. That's what I've been doing for the past 21 years anyway.. :)

When you close your eyes, your other sense awakens and takes all mental burden away, leaving just a growing trail of voice growing louder from within "Darling, you can do this. Keep smiling."

In that moment of darkness, then you'd be able to see the fire you didn't know you have burning from within. You're all you need to keep yourself going. 

5 minutes later as I slowly remove my hands, I regain my sight and force a smile. Eventually, it softens and becomes a natural curve. This is the only mask I need to put on each day because I know if I remove it, I'd crumble and be in that ugly state that I'd hate to see myself in. I'm just so tired but I am a self motivator, a full time optimist to keep myself alive. Yes, I am now fueled to face the challenges ahead.

I am no perfect being, I wish to be as good as everyone else but I accept my flaws because these are what that made me stronger. These are what that help me to understand myself more and more each day and know what I really want in this life. And if I don't give up, I'd be where I want to be even if it takes me a lifetime. Jia you Yun! :)
